Short answer: AeroSlim is a tablet of traditional respiratory herbs plus vitamin D3, sold as a "metabolic respiration" aid. We found no evidence that these herbs cause weight loss, and one ingredient, coltsfoot, carries a known liver-safety concern.
What is AeroSlim?
AeroSlim is a tablet sold from a video sales page with a text version. The manufacturer calls it a "Metabolic Respiration Accelerator" and builds the pitch on the idea that the way you breathe affects how quickly you lose weight. The page attributes this idea to researchers at a well-known university but does not cite or link any study.
That is unusual. Most weight-loss supplements aim at appetite, blood sugar or energy. AeroSlim aims at the lungs, and the ingredient list reflects that.
AeroSlim ingredients, according to the official website
The text page names seven ingredients:
- Vitamin D3
- Umckaloabo extract (from Pelargonium sidoides, a South African geranium)
- Ivy leaf extract
- Mullein extract
- Coltsfoot extract
- Serratiopeptidase (an enzyme)
- Peppermint essential oil
No amounts are shown. The page labels the formula natural, non-GMO and stimulant-free.
What research says about AeroSlim's ingredients
Respiratory herbs. Umckaloabo, ivy leaf and mullein are traditionally used in cough and cold remedies, mainly in Europe. We did not find authoritative sources linking any of them to weight loss.
Coltsfoot. Coltsfoot naturally contains pyrrolizidine alkaloids, compounds that are known to damage the liver. Several countries restrict coltsfoot in oral products for that reason. Because AeroSlim does not state how its coltsfoot extract is processed or tested, we treat it as a reason for caution, especially for anyone with liver disease, anyone who drinks alcohol heavily, and anyone pregnant.
Peppermint oil. NCCIH's peppermint oil fact sheet finds the best evidence for easing irritable bowel symptoms; evidence for most other uses is limited, and oral use can cause heartburn.
Vitamin D3. Vitamin D supports bone health. The NIH Office of Dietary Supplements' weight-loss supplement review does not list it as an effective weight-loss ingredient.
Serratiopeptidase. This enzyme is sold for inflammation and mucus. High-quality human evidence is thin, and it may matter for people taking blood thinners.

Breathing and weight: what is actually known
There is a real scientific fact buried in the AeroSlim story. When the body burns stored fat, most of that mass leaves as carbon dioxide through the lungs, with the rest leaving as water. Physicist Ruben Meerman and biochemist Andrew Brown laid out this chemistry in a widely cited 2014 BMJ article.
What that does not mean is that breathing harder, or taking a lung-focused herbal tablet, makes you burn more fat. The carbon dioxide is the end product of burning fuel, not the cause. You exhale more of it when your body uses more energy, which happens through physical activity, not through changing your breathing at rest. Deliberately breathing faster without exercise can cause dizziness and tingling rather than fat loss.
Breathing exercises can still help in other ways, such as easing stress, and stress affects eating habits. That is a reason to try slow breathing practice for free, not a reason to expect a tablet to change your metabolism.
Who AeroSlim may suit
Honestly, the fit is narrow. It may interest someone already using herbal respiratory products who is curious about the brand's theory and is comfortable with the safety notes above, after talking to a clinician.
Who should not use AeroSlim
- Anyone with liver disease or who drinks heavily (coltsfoot)
- Pregnant or breastfeeding women
- Anyone under 18
- People on blood thinners or with an upcoming surgery (serratiopeptidase)
- People with acid reflux (peppermint oil)
- Anyone allergic to plants in the daisy family, which includes coltsfoot
Honest cons of AeroSlim
- The central "breathing" claim is not supported by a cited study.
- No ingredient amounts.
- Coltsfoot is a recognized liver-safety concern.
- Prices are hidden in images on the text page.
- The refund requires returning every bottle at your cost.
